Two Homepages

  I created a page which I thought was going to serve as my homepage, but wordpress seems to have taken a blank template, put a list of my latest posts, and used this as my homepage. I am not able to change the page so that I can go back and choose the exact template I want. Can you let me know how I can change so that the page with a photo, and that also has a list of my latest posts can be my homepage. when i type my url, the one with no photo and only a list of my latest posts comes up. I want to change the one page I have on my site to be my homepage.

  Hi there, it looks like your site hasn’t been launched yet, so I’ve flagged your thread for Staff assistance as they can see behind the curtain.

  My educated guess is that you need to set that page you created as your homepage in your site’s Appearance> Customizer or Setting> Reading. More on that here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/

  @anniewanjirublog – @justjennifer is correct: you need to set the page you created as your homepage. Currently, it’s set to show your latest posts, which is why you’re seeing that instead of the page you set up with your photos, etc.

  Since there are a few different ways to set your homepage to be what your visitors see when they visit your site, you can find instructions on how to do this here:
