two websites linked to one email address but two usernames – how to remove one?
-
Hi all,
I have created a new website with a new username today on WordPress. I only forgot that 4 years ago, I had already created a website with another username, using the same email address than the one I use for my new website.
The result is that I have now two usernames and two websites linked to one email address, which generates a lot of issues when I want to log in. I would like to remove the old username and webpage, but the only option I found in the setting is to delete my whole account.
Could you please help me removing it and change my username for the new one I created today?
Thanks a lot!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi ikbeneenschaap,
I would like to remove the old username and webpage
Can you send a link to the old site you would like to remove?
Could you please help me removing it and change my username for the new one I created today?
Which username would you like to use going forward?
The result is that I have now two usernames and two websites linked to one email address, which generates a lot of issues when I want to log in.
We require each WordPress.com account to use a unique email address, which means multiple accounts cannot share a single email address. What is the username of your other account?
Just let me know and I can look at your options.
Thanks!

Dear gemmacevans,
Thank you so much for your quick answer and your help.
Here is a more detailed information.
The two usernames I have are:
ikbeneenschaap
ikohlerI want to keep “ikohler” and delete “ikbeneenschaap”.
I also would to delete my WordPress.com website “ikbeneenschaap.wordpress.com”. I would like to keep the WordPress.org website “www.alittlebitofscience.com”.
Therefore I would like to log in with username “ikohler” linked to my email address, and pilot the website “www.alittlebitofscience.com”.
Thank you in advance for your help, please let me know if you need further information!
Best,
I. -
Thanks for the details. First thing to do is, while logged into the ikbeneenschaap account, delete the unwanted site as explained here.
Next, disconnect your Jetpack plugin from the ikbeneenschaap account and log out of that account and into the ikohler account and connect your littlebitofscience.com to that user account. Make sure you can reach that site under My Sites when logged into WordPress.com.
Then you can log back into ikbeneenschaap account and delete that account if you wish.
Let us know if you have any problems.
