Unable to access my WordPress.com account after signup email typo
-
Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me recover access to my WordPress.com account.
I created the site mattsdailypicks.wordpress.com, but during signup I accidentally entered my email address incorrectly (missing one letter). At the time, that email address did not exist, so I never received the account verification email or any other WordPress emails.
I have since created the missing email address, so I now have access to the email that was entered during signup. However, I still do not receive any WordPress login links or password reset emails, even after multiple attempts. I have checked my inbox, spam folder, and all other Gmail folders.
I can confirm that the site is mine. It is still live at mattsdailypicks.wordpress.com and contains the pages I created, including the About page and Affiliate Disclosure page.
I tried using the AI support assistant, but it directed me to the Account Recovery form. Unfortunately, I cannot complete that form because it requires proof such as an activation URL, purchase receipt, or two-factor authentication code. Since the verification email was never delivered due to the signup email typo, I do not have any of those.
Is there another way to verify ownership of my site or have the account email corrected so I can regain access?
Thank you for your time and any assistance you can provide.
