Unable to access old blogs on new website
-
This is a fairly complex situation. I used to own two blogs, rapidconsultingusa.com/blog and rapidconsultingusa.com/lab, which were both wordpress sites. However, we recently put up a new website at rapidconsultingusa.com, which means that those previous links no longer work. Signing in to the admin panel only takes me to the new website’s dashboard. Logging into wordpress.com gives me a blank dashboard, and trying to access the blogs just sends me to the new site, a 404 message because those pages no longer exist.
So basically: how do I get to my blog posts WITHOUT going to the url? Are those blogs gone permanently because the URL now points to a different site?

I realize my question might be a bit confusing. What I mean is, is there a way to view the posts to a wordpress site WITHOUT going to the site’s URL? Surely those posts are saved somewhere else. Maybe there’s a way to “edit” the posts without going to the blog’s URL?

Any WordPress site you need to log onto it to edit Pages or Posts – you can view Posts using an RSS feed depending on how you have the feed set up
However:
The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are asking for help with a WordPress.COM site then we need a link to that site to give you accurate help.

That’s right, my previous two blogs were wordpress.com sites. Now, we have a wordpress.org site with the same URL. How do I get the content (at least view it) from the wordpress.com sites? Logging in to wordpress.com doesn’t help, because the dashboard links just redirect me to the new, wordpress.org site. Logging in to the wordpress.org site doesn’t help, because it doesn’t show me anything from the wordpress.com sites (nor should it, logically).

We still need all the WordPress.COM sites you need help with – you should be able to log into the base site dashboard – but if the staff need to help they will need to make sure they are only working with the correct blog and not messing up something else – if they need to make a change on a blog for you the request will need to come from the account that owns the blogs

Well that’s the trick. I want to view all of the posts from the wordpress.com site located at rapidconsultingusa.com/lab. Thing is, that link now leads to the new website, not the wordpress blog: the URL has been overwritten.
I’m logged in to wordpress.com, and on my dashboard, I can see the blog in question on the “My Blogs” tab. Thing is, when I click “dashboard”, it takes me to http://rapidconsultingusa.com/lab/wp-admin/ , which is no longer the dashboard: it’s a 404 page on the new website.
So is there a way to view my posts, or are those posts permanently lost because the URL no longer takes me to the dashboard and the posts are not viewable under the new URL?

That would have been a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, not a WordPress.com blog.
It looks like that blog may now be at http://rapidconsultingusa.com/blog/
You should contact the site’s administrator about this.

The wordpress.com blog rapidconsultingusa.com/blog (“The Solution Architects”) has been migrated to the new site, under that same link.
The wordpress.com blog rapidconsultingusa.com/lab was not migrated, but that link is now “taken” by the new website.

Those are self-hosted WordPress.org blogs which were connected to your WordPress.com account via Jetpack.
They are not WordPress.com blogs, so there is nothing that we can do for you here.
You’ll need to contact the site’s administrator.
