Trying to cancel the plan shows this error message “User or Token does not have access to specified site”

It sounds like the site may no longer be properly connected to the WordPress.com account that originally purchased the plan, which is why you’re seeing messages such as:- “You no longer have access to this site and its purchases”- “User or Token does not have access to specified site”This can sometimes happen if:
– The site ownership/account association changed unexpectedly
– The site was transferred or disconnected- There was an issue during plan provisioning/payment processing
– You are logged into a different WordPress.com account than the one used for the purchaseA few things to check first:1.
Log out of WordPress.com completely and log back in using any other email addresses you may have used previously.
2. Check whether the site appears under “My Sites” on another account.
3. Verify the payment receipt email to confirm which WordPress.com username/email received the purchase confirmation.
4. Try accessing:
– Purchases
– Hosting Configuration
-WP Admin
from the account that made the payment.
Since the payment was already deducted and the system is reporting an access/token error, this likely needs staff assistance to verify the account ownership and reconnect the purchase to the correct WordPress.com account.
A Staff member should be able to review the purchase records and confirm which account currently owns the staging site and attached plan.

This sometimes happens when there’s a temporary account/session mismatch between the billing profile and the site owner permissions, especially after plan changes or staging site setups. I ran into something slightly similar while testing and organizing content/projects recently, and clearing active sessions plus rechecking account ownership helped narrow things down. Hopefully support can resolve it quickly for you
Also interesting how these access-sync issues appear more often now with larger content-heavy projects and staging environments.

All previous advices are worthless as only Staff can solve this problem. I tagged this thread with modlook, now just wait untill a Staff member pick s this up.
