Unable to Access WordPress Backend (/wp-admin/) – ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
-
Hello WordPress Support Team,
I’m currently unable to access the backend/admin area of our WordPress.com site.
Affected URLs:
Both pages are showing the following error:
“ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT – This site can’t be reached. celoxis.wordpress.com took too long to respond.”
The frontend website is accessible, but the backend dashboard and posts section are not opening at all.
Could you please help check why the WordPress admin backend is timing out?
I’ve also added the “modlook” tag for staff assistance.
Thank you!
Best regards,

Hi @celoxis! Thanks for letting us know about this.
We’re currently seeing an issue affecting access to some WordPress.com sites in certain regions and ISPs. Our team is actively working on a fix.
In the meantime, here are a couple of workarounds you can use to keep managing your site:
Use the WordPress.com dashboard directly: wordpress.com/home/yourdomainname
If needed, trying a different network (such as a mobile hotspot or VPN) may help as a temporary workaround.
We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information. Thanks again for your patience.
