Unable to add a Credit Card to our account

    Everytime we try to add a Credit Card to our account we get an error saying.
    “There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again.”
    We have tried multiple cards belonging to multiple people. This is not a card issue.
    Can you please take a look into this.

    I don’t see anything that would be preventing that on your account here.

    Are you trying to purchase something from us or from elsewhere?

    We are using the Shipping Label options from JetPack and it’s asking us to add a credit card on file. Clicking the Add Credit Card goes to this screen.

    The message “There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again.” seems to appear immediately as thought it hasn’t even tried to process anything in the back end.

    We have tried multiple cards belonging to different people, from multiple computers and different locations, and using Edge, Chrome and Safari browsers.

    There’s isnt much else we can eliminate from this end.

    But the Credit Card entry is nothing to do with the Plugin. The plugin may use it for its charges, but the credit card entry is inside our profile on the WordPress.com website. Just going straight to this page and trying to add a credit card into our account produces the same error.

    Hmm, I wonder if it’s something else on the account. I noticed the email address wasn’t confirmed, so I’ve fixed that (since I can see you’re getting emails, like a password reset.)

    Can you try again now?

    Whatever you did has fixed it.
    You need to work out if it was due to email not being confirmed and give better messages. I’ve read a lo of threads with people with the same issue.
