Unable to add new category to Links

  In the Edit Link screen, on clicking the “Add New Category” link, and entering my new intended category into the text bock and clicking “Add”, the scroll bar shifts indicating an extra item in the list of categories above, but all I see is that the “Add” button is no longer next to the text box but at the bottom of the category list, but no new category is there. I’m trying this on Firefox 12.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

  Is there an upper limit to the number of Categories you can create for a WordPress blog? If there is, I’d have though it was more than eleven.

  Hmm, I just managed to add a new Category via the Link Categories page in Admin, but couldn’t do it on Add New Link or Edit Link screens.
