Unable to Add Subscribers

    I operate a website as a service to the community to help people to gain rowing opportunities and experience. This is voluntary / not for profit.

    I am unable to enter subscribers manually (the form will not accept text input) or via CSV file upload.

    All was working well until I uploaded a CSV subscriber list which proved to be corrupt (it had a semi-colon after a number of email addresses) I received a message asking me to contact WordPress. I was then unable to enter subscribers manually because the input form would no longer accept text input and further CSV submissions produced no result.

    The “Happiness” contact asked me to go through a series of measures which were obviously to addres problems at my end.

    Thus far I have

    1. Tried a different browser Chrome => Edge   Same Result.
    2. Tried 2 different devices => Android Phone & tablet– Same Result.
    3. Sent an updated CSV File with corrected email addresses to WordPress.
    4. Changed site to Coming Soon
    5. Theme Change – Twenty Twenty Four activated – Still no ability to input subscribers manually.
    6. Returned to Lovecraft Theme and site made Public again. No improvement

    I operate 2 published websites using the same hardware and IT and the other site still has full subscriber functionality. The problem is limited to this site.

    Despite the fact that the locking of subscriber input appears to have come from WordPress end, I have done all that various “Happiness” staff have asked.

    I think this issue can only be resolved at the WordPress end, but the “happiness staff have fallen silent even after end I have done everything they requested.

    Can anyone help me achieve the ability to input and update subscribers happiness I am seeking?
