Unable to change Permalinks (slug changes in quick-edit do not stay)

Hi, I am working on a One-Page Express WP site where the permalinks are not reflecting the changes I am making. When I use quick-edit, I am able to change the slug. However, every time I go to edit the actual page, the permalink reverts to a ‘pageref=4xyz’ type format and does not allow me to change it. Am I missing something, or is this a bug with the One Page Express theme? Thank you.

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Hi there, I am actually working on a site for a client, not my own. I did not realize it would automatically attribute to my site. My client is on WordPress.com. Do I need to re-post this question under their profile?

Hi @info8e2411c91b1 if you can log in as your client on WordPress.com, and they have outside plugins or themes on their site, they have a business plan and can access support via chat.
So you could log in as them and head to https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ for fastest help.
