Unable to integrate Google Analytics

    Hello,

I tried to connect my website to google analytics but got the error message as follows:

Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-169253669-1), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.

I did some research on the forum and found out with Tag Assistant that my website does have 2 different tags, but I don’t know how to remove one. Could someone help me with this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

The site carolcao.com appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted by an outside web hosting company, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

    You can confirm here: https://gwhois.org/carolcao.com+dns

To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and other hosting companies also happen to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Optionally you can migrate to our hosting so we can provide more direct support, here’s how: https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/

We provide support for all sites we host on WordPress.com (even free sites) and would be happy to assist you with issues like this.

Hope that points you in the right direction!

Thanks! I’ll try asking on the other forum.
