Unable to Launch a free site

  Every time I try to launch my free site, I get asked to purchase a paid plan or paid domain. I have a .wordpress domain. This is for a school project so quick help would be appreciated.

  Hi there,

  Please try launching it by going to My Sites > Manage > Settings > General > Launch Site.

  Unfortunately, I have already tried it and it brings me to a page to buy a domain. I don’t know if its a problem but I have launched several free sites in the past.

  That’s odd, I couldn’t see what would be causing that, but your site in now launched and Private.

  You can make it Public at https://wordpress.com/settings/general/techbyscottdotcom.wordpress.com

  I’ve switched techbyscottdotcom.wordpress.com back to Coming Soon.

  As for launching reflectmirrors.wordpress.com click the Launch Site button at https://wordpress.com/settings/general/reflectmirrors.wordpress.com and then choose the “Skip Purchase” option at the bottom of the list.

  Ok I figured out the problem I had to delete the site name that autofilled before I could choose not to buy a domain.
