Do you want to change your personal password, ie the one associated with your profile, or the blog administration password? The former you change on your Profile page, the latter under Settings->General.

I already did both, but disconnecting my Ethernet cable to avoid spying through rootkit or keylogger I suspect to be on my PC.
Finally, I did it successfully without disconnecting the cable while typing the password.
By the way, there is no place to reset a password in WordPress.com, but only in WordPress.org, hosted.I am writing a book against corruption and I was running for presidency in France (2012), then running to be representative, French authorities put my PC and MacBook under control.
I am no longer the administrator of my notebooks, permissions restricted.
