Unable to Purchase Guided Transfer to WordPress.org

  Urgent assistance needed! I am unable to purchase a guided transfer to WordPress.org.
  Please assist.

  As you have a Premium Theme, Guided Transfer is not an option since the Premium Theme cannot be transferred.

  If you’le like me to, I can cancel your Premium Theme.

  If not, you’ll need to install WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on a hosting provider. We have some recommendations at http://get.wp.com/hosting/

  Once that’s done, you can move your content following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

  Just to clarify. My domain is less than 60 days. would I be able to transfer even if my premium theme is cancelled?

  You won’t be able to transfer it, but you can direct it elsewhere at any time by just changing the name servers: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

  Thanks for the reply. I will wait for the 60 days to be over, remove my premium theme and do a guided transfer to WordPress.org.

  Is that a better choice?

  I wouldn’t say it’s better or worse, just a different option.

  If you want to move now, you can do the guided transfer now and we’ll just change your name servers, then you can transfer the domain later.

  Or, if you want to wait the 60-days, that’s just fine too.

  Hi Macmanx, I would like to do a paid/guided transfer to wordpress.org

  The option is still grey-ed out. Would be great if you can assist as the 60 days is up :)

  Hi there – the Guided Transfer service has been unavailable over the holiday period, but is once again available. You’ll need to disable your premium theme in order to see the option.
