Unable to Receive SMS Verification Code

    Hi,

    I’m unable to access my WordPress.com account on my other devices. Because I’m not receiving the SMS Verification Code to my number +91 98044 XXX88.

    Please look into this. Or let me know how can I integrate Google Authenticator with WordPress.com?

    …this is also doable if you’d like. Here’s how:

    Enable Two-Step Authentication

    You just might need to remove the existing 2FA before you can do that. Do you have some backup codes you can use for that?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick response! I’m afraid that I don’t have any backup codes. This is the only reason I’m stuck here.

    I won’t be able to follow the instructions you provided until I get the verification code via SMS.

    SMS verification worked well for me. This is the first time I’m running into such issues. Hope it will be resolved soon.

    There are some changes made to the Indian Telecommunication Regulations. I was informed about this by my SMS Gateway Twilo.

    This may affect your delivery. Because this regulation doesn’ support Alphanumeric Sender ID, which means that the messages received by your users will be delivered via a random shortcode preceded by two letters (format: XX-NNNNNN) instead of the Alphanumeric Sender ID representing your brand. Your messages will continue to bypass India’s “Do Not Disturb” (DND) list and be delivered without any time-of-day restrictions.

    I worry that my number is registered with India’s DND and I think it’s getting filtered because of that. Please, help me access my WordPress.com account.
