Unable to recover old WordPress.com blog due to deleted email
-
Hello,
I am trying to recover access to this WordPress.com blog:
https://guayaramerin.wordpress.com/The account was created around 2007 with the username “guayaramerin”.
The original email is no longer accessible because it was deleted, so I cannot reset the password.
I already tried the account recovery form, but I cannot provide a transaction ID, activation URL, or 2FA codes due to the age of the account.
I do have historical evidence linking me to the account and access to another blog created in the same period.
Could someone advise on how to proceed with manual verification in this situation?
Thank you.

Hey Ana
2007 accounts are tough to recover through the automated flow since most of those verification options didn’t exist back then but you’re not out of options!
The historical evidence and your other blog from the same period are actually really valuable here. Head to wordpress.com/help/contact and submit a support request directly. When you do, mention:
- The blog URL and username: guayaramerin / guayaramerin.wordpress.com
- Your other blog simplescosas.wordpress.com as proof you’re a genuine long-term user from that era
- Any old email addresses you used around 2007 even if no longer active
- Any historical evidence tying you to the content, old emails, screenshots, external links pointing to the blog
The support team does manual reviews for exactly these situations. The automated form not working doesn’t close the door, it just means a human needs to look at it.
Good luck Ana, hope you get it back!
