Unable to reply to my inbound contact form emails

Hello,
I am receiving emails on my registered email id on gmail from my WordPress blog contact form but I just can’t reply back to any of them. Mails keep returning with delivery failure alerts to my mailbox. Kindly help. RegardsThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
That most likely means that the email addresses provided by people submitting your form were not valid. When someone submits the form we have no way of checking if the email address they provide actually exists. We only check if it’s a valid format for an email address. But if they give a fake address, you won’t be able to reply to it.
When you reply, please make sure that the email address submitted via the form is the one appearing in the TO field in your email client. It should be added automatically with most email providers, but your email provider might be trying to reply to the donotreply address we used to forward the submission to you.

Yes I soon realized some people were using incorrect or fake ids in the contact form. Because when I ran a test mail to my own mail from my contact form and used the ‘reply to’ email id (which I had done for those other ids too) my reply promptly went through unlike earlier ones bouncing back with mail delivery failure with ‘address doesn’t exist’ notes.
Though wonder why anyone would so annoyingly use fake ids and repeatedly.

It could be exactly that they’re just trying to annoy you. It could be a spam bot as well, trying to flood your inbox with fake mail. What you could do is, in your site’s dasdboard, mark those form submissions as spam instead of just deleting them:

That way our spam filter will start automatically blocking them over time.
