I want to limit access to a post to paid subscribers. I chose the “paid subscribers only” option in the post settings. Nothing changed after I saved the new setting. How do I know that the change was applied?

Oh, I feel so alone in the sea of WordPress issues without human assistance!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there @elirwriter2025,

You’re definitely not alone — we’re here to help.

Could you let me know the steps you followed when setting the post to “Paid Subscribers Only”? That will help us confirm if everything was applied correctly.

Also, have you had a chance to try the steps from this guide? It walks you through how to use the Paid Content block to restrict content:
Paid Content Block – WordPress.com Support

You can always get help here in the forum, and if you prefer direct support from our team, that’s available with a paid plan:
    Contact WordPress.com Support

Let me know what you see on your end and we’ll take it from there.

Thanks @josefhtest. I was trying to follow the instructions in the Paid Contents Block – WordPress.com Support says, and my entire post disappeared, showing “The editor has encountered an unexpected error. Copy contents/Copy error.”

@josefhtest, my post seems to be back now. The Content Block information helps. I think I need to learn more about editing the Subscriber/Guest views. I’ll do that. Thank you for the support!

    Hi @elirwriter2025,

I’m glad to hear your post is showing up again!

Since you’re exploring the Paid Content block, I’d love to better understand how you’d like to set it up. For example:

    • Do you want only paying subscribers to access the full post, while others see a teaser?
    • Are you planning to publish free content alongside paid content, or keep everything behind a paywall?
    • Will you be using this just for individual posts, or considering a paid newsletter model too?

Knowing a bit more about your goals will help us guide you better.

In the meantime, here are a few helpful resources you can explore while setting things up:

    • Post and Page Visibility — Learn how to control who sees what.
    • Paid Newsletters — Great if you’re planning ongoing subscriber content.

Let us know how you’d like your content flow to work, and we’ll gladly walk you through it!
