Unable to update CNAME Records

  I am hosting my email with Microsoft Office 365. Microsoft Support assisted me in transferring the hosting from Amicus to Microsoft Office 365.

  In the DNS Records on my WordPress Account, we inserted the CNAME record as suggested by the WordPress.com. But when doing a look up for the CNAME records, here is what it shows on NS lookup:

  autodiscover.theschaferfirm.com
  Server: b.resolvers.level3.net
  Address: 4.2.2.2

  Non-authoritative answer:
  autodiscover.theschaferfirm.com canonical name = ar-west.exch031.serverdata.net

  Here is updated in the WordPress DNS setting and it does not show up when doing an NS look-up.

  CNAME autodiscover.outlook.com autodiscover.theschaferfirm.com.
  CNAME clientconfig.microsoftonline-p.net msoid.theschaferfirm.com

  Hi there,

  Can you provide the CNAME records that you got from Microsoft Office 365 so I can take a look at them?

  It looks like the CNAME records in your settings here are not quite formatted correctly, but I’d like to take a look at the DNS settings they gave you to make sure we get them right on this end. Thanks!

  Hello.

  I spoke to Microsoft this morning again and worked with them online.

  Changes have been made to the DNS Records. They said I not just need to wait a few hours/day to have everything updated and for propagation to occur everywhere.

  I would surely appreciate it if you take another look at the CNAME records in my settings to see if you spot any further formatting issues.

  Hi there,

  Although email usually begins working within a few hours, it can take 48-72 hours for propagation to occur so you’re right that you may just need to wait for everything to start working.

  If you do continue to have trouble with your email after a couple days, please let me know! It would also help for me to see the CNAME records that Microsoft provided you (in the format they gave them to you) so I can check that information against the records you entered here at WordPress.com.
