Unable to upload files
-
Hi, I’m unable to upload files larger than 10Mb. Our upload limit is 64Mb. We used to be able to upload large files. Thanks.

Hi @passeywp, could you send a link to the site you’re having trouble with?
Also, please note these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com, vs using the free WordPress software with another host. If you’re not sure about your site, send a link and we can point you in the right direction.

It’s for https://apvi.org.au/solar-research-conference/
It’s hosted at Netregistry but, for the problem I have, they said I needed to talk to someone at WordPress …..

Here’s what Webcentral said “Thank you for your patience. I’ve already contacted wordpress and they mentioned to me that there are settings needs to be done on the actaul platform or some editing to be done on the PHP file of the app.”

Ah okay:
they said I needed to talk to someone at WordPress
So WordPress.com is a different hosting service, and as a host we set the file size limits pretty high for our customers.
WordPress the free DIY software isn’t really an entity you can contact so much as an open-source project, but there is an excellent site with documents and a community forum:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/Max Upload is usually a server setting. This document can help you see your current server configuration:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/site-health-screen/There are other articles there about modifying server files and whatnot (php.ini, etc) to adjust settings. I’d recommend working with your host to be sure those are right for their hosting environment.
Hoping that helps! And for more info on the difference between our hosting service and the free software, we have a few details here:
