Unauthorized website

Someone has created an unauthorized website in the name of our organization. We think it was a member or former member who created it a few years ago as a test and then abandoned it. How can we get the site removed?

https://marioncivicchorale.wordpress.com/. THIS IS THE ONE TO BE DELETED. This site was never completed and is out of date by at least 4 years. It is not sanctioned by the board of directors of the Marion Civic Chorale.
The link in my original post is my personal blog and is not in question here. It was added by your software because it’s linked to the email address I was posting from. DO NOT DELETE MY PERSONAL BLOG!

Hi there,
WordPress.com sites belong to the individual users who create them, and we cannot delete a site at another user’s request for any reason. Only the owner of that site can delete it.
If a former member of your organisation created the site, please contact them and ask them to remove it. Else the only situation in which we can remove that site is if it violated a registered trademark used by your organisation.

We cannot delete your own site even if you had asked us to. Only the owner or an admin on a site can delete it.

That is the problem. No one knows who created that site. Is there an email address for that account? That would tell us who to contact.

We cannot provide the email address associated with a WordPress.com account under any circumstances – that would be a violation of our privacy policy, beside the fact that we would require someone trying to access the account to give that to us to verify their ownership.

The Marion Civic Chorale is incorporated by the State of Florida as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. We can provide, upon request, a copy of our Articles of Incorporation and our latest Annual Report filed with the Secretary of State’s office. This should be sufficient proof that we own the name and the brand.
We are not claiming any intentional attempt to defraud. We feel it was a good faith attempt by some unknown former member to help us design a new website. But until the issue is resolved, this website is discoverable by search engines and is misleading people interested in our organization.

My request for the owner’s email address was poorly phrased. To safeguard the owner’s privacy, could you send an email to that address asking them to contact us? That way they can choose whether to do so, and their privacy is not compromised. I can give you an email address they can use to reach us.

There’s an email address on the contact section of that website (left sidebar). If you don’t hear back from them, then you can file a complaint:

The email address used on that site is one of ours. That’s part of the infringement. I was hoping that the email associated with this WordPress account would belong to the person who created it.
I have attempted to contact the owner by leaving comments on various pages of the site. But those comments have to be approved before they are even posted on the site. Since I don’t think anyone is monitoring the site, I don’t expect to hear from anyone.

I’ve read the criteria for claiming infringement of trademark. Is there a form that needs to be filled out?
