Unfair Renewal Policy

    Why renew for 11 months at full price?

    My Premium service expires March 16th.

    If I renew today for one year, it renews on February 15, 2015.

    So why would I want to throw away a month of Premium Service?

    We auto renew domains related upgrades 30 days before their expiration date. Why? Since letting a domain expire means you may not be able to get it back in the future, we want to ensure that everything is taken care of in advance. We do send out notification emails before charging your card, as we try not to surprise anyone.

    Most importantly, you are not losing a month by having the renewal processed 30 days prior to expiration. Your expiration date is simply extended a year. If your premium upgrade was set to expire March 16th, 2014. It will now be set to expire March 16th, 2015. You can see this in the “my upgrades” area of your site’s dashboard.

    Should you wish to, you can turn off auto-renew from the “My Upgrades” page:

    Does that mean that the only way I can pay today for a renewal of my Premium service that expires on March 16th is to give you free access to a credit card or to my bank account?

    Because if I MANUALLY renew my Premium service today, the renewal ends on February 23, 2015.

    As I said, it seems unfair.

    I am almost positive that will not happen. But if it does, then it is a serious glitch that needs to be tracked down.

    I would ask you to go ahead and process the renewal manually. If by some chance the new expiration date is set incorrectly, I will fix it myself and get the bug fixed.

    If you see any screen where it says renewing will show you the incorrect date, a screenshot would be a great help. It may be that there is a display error rather than an actual error with the renewal.
