Unlock domain, transfer pages from WP to Bluehost, and need the EPP#.
-
I’ve recently changed my domain from WordPress to Bluehost. I no longer have access to the pages I’ve created in WP. How can I unlock the WP domain, initiate the transfer from WP to Bluehost, and find the EPP# for transfer? Thanks!

Hi there!
What is the address of your WordPress.com site? I do not see any under your account.

Hi,
So, there are two problems here…
The first is that the WordPress.com user account you are posting from is not the owner or admin of the site you are trying to access. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the site. You’ll need to log into THAT user account in order to make any changes.
If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:
Account recovery overview – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
Lost password tool – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery -
The second is that you’ll need to set your old WordPress.com site back to using gjoyreid.wordpress.com as its primary URL if you want to access the content. Otherwise going to gjoyreid.wordpress.com will just try to send you to creatingmusicjoy.com which will go to your new Bluehost account. Instructions can be found here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#set-a-primary-address
You’ll need to follow the instructions above to log into the correct user account to make that change. This will also allow you to export content and initiate the domain transfer if you wish to do so.
