Unlocking Jetpack

  • Unknown's avatar

Recently I began re-branding. My original website was pinupsandpearls.com and I am re-branding to chelsnco.com. I tried switching everything over on my account and it keeps giving me issues and I contacted bluehost and they said to disable jetpack. Once I did this it allowed me to log on to WordPress.org. Bluehost said to contact you guys about enabling jetpack again. My other question is how do I get every thing settled in WordPress.com? It is not even showing my site anymore. Please Help.

  • Hi there,

Let me answer the last question first:

My other question is how do I get every thing settled in WordPress.com? It is not even showing my site anymore.

This is because Jetpack is disconnected. To have your site show in your WordPress.com account requires an active Jetpack connection.

Were you using Jetpack with this WordPress.com account, though? This account is about nine months old, has never had a Jetpack site connected that I can see, and has been inactive for several months until you logged in yesterday and changed the username and email address.

If you were using a different account, can you please tell us the username?

As for reconnecting, step one is to make sure you’re logged into the WordPress.com account that you want to use with the new Jetpack connection. If that’s this account, then you’re already logged in.

Next you need to log into WP-Admin for your site, click on Jetpack, and then follow the steps there to connect.

Once you’re reconnected we might need to help move your followers and stats over to the new domain – let us know if those are missing at that point and we can take a look, but we’ll need to know the account your Jetpack site was connected to previously to help with that.
