Unmap by domain to remap it

Hi — I own the domain socialchangenyu.com and it’s currently mapped to one wordpress.com site (socialchangenyu.wordpress.com), but I built a new one and would like to place the domain name (socialchangenyu.com) on that one. The address for the new one is socialchangenyutest.wordpress.com, but I would like that to become socialchangenyu.com — I read in another help thread that I needed staff assistance for that. Help?

Hi there,
The domain name socialchangenyu.com is owned by a different administrator on the site socialchangenyu.wordpress.com. (You can find a full list of users on the site under Users > All Users in the WP Admin dashboard.)
Only the domain’s owner can move it from one site to another — if you also own that other account, you can log in to it and contact us or post in this forum thread to confirm this request.

Okay, I didn’t realize it mattered so long as I was admin on both sites. I’m the editor of both sites, so I have access to the various user accounts, but I’m not sure, honestly, which one of them is the technical owner of the domain. I have access to alexispiazza, socialchangenyu, and lawrlscdee. Is there anyway to know based on the WP Admin dashboard?

Thanks for posting from the socialchangenyu account. :) That account owns the domain, so it’s the only one that can confirm requests to make changes to the domain (like moving it between sites).
I see you also contacted our support team from this account about moving the domain, and there’s just one more change before the domain can be moved:
Your account socialchangenyu owns the domain, but it isn’t a user on the site you want to move the domain to (socialchangenyutest.wordpress.com). You’ll need to add socialchangenyu as a user on the site, and then the domain can be moved to that site, too.
If you’d like help with that process, please log in to your account alexispiazza and confirm that you want to add socialchangenyu to that site, and I can help you with that step as well as moving the domain over to that site.
