Unsubscribe newsletter

  I want to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Every time I click on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter, I get an error: Error unsubscribing from Newsletter mailing list! Try again later.
  So then I go to my notification settings. Everything under updates is unchecked, so I shouldn’t be getting the newsletter at all. How do I stop getting the newsletter?

  Hi there, if the subscription is for a site hosted here on WordPress.com (or using the jetpack subscription module), try logging out of this WordPress.com account first and then clicking on the unsubscribe link.

  Let us know how that goes.

  If that didn’t work for you, try going to https://subscribe.wordpress.com/

  Again, please let us know how that goes.

  If you do need further help, please include the email address that you’ve subscribed with. Add it here normally and the forum software will redact it from public view, but Staff will still be able to see it.

  The link you provided is guiding me to a place that controls subscriptions to blogs and comments hosted on WordPress. The newsletter I’m receiving is the weekly WordPress.com Newsletter. As all options in https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates are unchecked, I shouldn’t be getting this.

  My email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff), if staff could check what is happening, I’d be much obliged.

  Hm, I think I might have found the cause. Initially, I registered with the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff), but later on I changed this to (email visible only to moderators and staff). The newsletters are sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff), but I can’t login with this email address.

  Ok, first log out of WordPress.com, then enter that other email address at https://subscribe.wordpress.com

  This will send you a link to manage subscriptions to that email address, but remember you’ll need to stay logged out of your WordPress.com account for all that to work.
