  Every time I try to go to my site http://www.marilynsstudio.ca, I get the message “Your connection isn’t private” and I can’t get to my site on my laptop. On my phone, I get the message “marilynsstudio,wordpress.com doesn’t exist”

  It seems that you had a legacy domain mapping upgrade for your domain that expired in July 2022. Can you confirm if your website’s content can be viewed via https://marilyncharpentier.wordpress.com/?

  Since the domain mapping has expired, it appears that you may have set up domain forwarding. However, the forwarded domain is pointing to marilynsstudio.wordpress.com, which is a site that does not exist.

  If your content is displaying as expected at marilyncharpentier.wordpress.com, there are two ways to fix this issue:

  1. Upgrade to a paid plan which includes the domain connection (formerly known as mapping) upgrade. This will allow your marilynsstudio.ca domain to be the primary domain for your site.
  2. Correct the domain forwarding settings at your domain registrar to forward your domain to marilyncharpentier.wordpress.com.

  The “your connection isn’t private” message is due to the domain not using HTTPS in the URL. By connecting it here, it will automatically have a secure HTTPS URL.

  How do I do step # 2 where I would forward the domain? Just want to make sure I am doing it correctly. Also, what will be the actual name of my site that everyone else will see?

  Hey @marilyncharpentier,

  The process for forwarding the domain will depend on your domain registrar. I recommend reaching out to your registrar directly for assistance with setting up domain forwarding. It looks like your registrar is Netfirms.

  Once set up, the domain http://www.marilynsstudio.ca/ will redirect users to https://marilyncharpentier.wordpress.com/, which is the domain they will then see in their browser window.
