Unwanted search results
-
When I was drafting our website before it was being distributed, I put in a place holder that stated ‘Something something something about the various web links that will be listed’. I do not know why, but now that the website has gone live, when anyone uses the search function, that message embarrassingly comes back as a result. None of the customizing or editing buttons seems to allow that goofy sentetce to be changed.

Hi there,
Are you seeing this text in search results when you search for your site in, e.g. Google? If Google indexed your site with the placeholder content you’ll need to wait for them to re-index your site with the new content. This typically takes a few weeks. There’s no way to force them to update it faster.
For future reference, you can set your site to private or hidden from search engines while working on it to prevent it from being indexed with temporary content. You’ll find that option under My Site ->Settings.
