update a theme
-
I have a theme installed on a page that I assist in managing. The theme updated and in order to update it, in the advanced tab it is asking for a purchase code. It gives instructions on what to do and to put the purchase code here, however there is no here to put it. Please help! Thank you!

well it seems I am in limbo. I worked with them on a bunch of things, but they passed me along to you as they don’t seem to be able to figure out why I can’t put in a purchase code on wordpress.
When I go to my theme and then the advanced settings, it says to input my purchase code here, but there is no here, and it won’t let me update the theme until I put in the purchase code.
Thank you! -
Also, I have tried clearing my cache and using different browsers, but it all seems the same.

Hi there,
When you say them, are you referring to your site host or the .org forums? The .org forum community should be able to assist you with your inquiry and should know that your site is not hosted on WordPress.com.

Yes, them is bluehost. I tried looking at the .org forums, but couldn’t find anyway to ask questions.

You will need to create a dotorg account if you have not already. However, given that it appears that the purchase code is associated with whoever you purchased the theme from, I would actually reach out to them first to see if they can assist with the issue.

I ended up purchasing a second license not realizing that someone else had purchased the theme. I tried researching it and there was no breadcrumb on any license, so I thought it might have originally been a free theme.
Thank you for the information, will look into it more.
