Update erased my blog

  I was told that as of an hour ago that my bluehost was going to update my site and that nothing was required on my part and now I’m looking at it and all my plugins and everything else that I have set up is not able to accessed it says that an error has occurred in retrieving them as well as my blog posts, pages everything. I’m not sure if it can be recovered or if I have to start over but please get in touch as soon as possible I just got started with this and am learning as a go so please help me to restore the little progress that I’ve already made.

  I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.
