Updated domain now I can't find my blog
-
Hi,
I updated to my name.com.au domain, and now I can’t see my blog (other than through the admin area). So, even when I look at the old address name.wordpress.com.au I can’t see it. I have paid for my upgrade and changed the name servers.
Help??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is this the site you are talking about, http://workingwomenaustralia.wordpress.com/ ?
If not, we need the actual link to the site you are talking about. Both would be best, the new domain name and the original wordpress.com URL.

Yes that’s it. I’ve just reset the primary domain back to the http://workingwomenaustralia.wordpress.com and now at least I can see it. However when the primary domain is set to workingwomenaustralia.com.au it doesn’t work.
Is that because the name servers take time to update at the host’s end?

A “whois” search shows that the domain name is pointed at the wordpress.com servers, http://whois.domaintools.com/workingwomenaustralia.com.au .
It can take anywhere from a few hours to as much as 72 for the DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet although most of the time it takes 12 hours or less.
My suggestion is to set the primary back to your purchased domain name and then wait. The wordpress.com domain name should continue to work up until the propagation is done. There is no way to speed up the propagation. It takes as long as it takes, and how soon you will see the change depends on how often your ISP updates their nameservers.
