updated plugins that were 7 years out of date now website down

  hello!

  I recently returned to a website that is 7 years out of date — and probably has corrupt custom coding also. I foolishly clicked ‘update all plugins’ in the wp admin and now when I try to access the website (or even the login page for the website) all I get is a page that says the wbsite is currently unable to handle my request (http 500 error) would someone please be able to help me restore access to the admin? thanks
