Updating Admin email address

Hi, I’ve been trying to update my clients administration email address and it just says ‘This address is used for admin purposes. If you change this, we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed.’
An email has not been sent for confirmation and we’ve been waiting since Novemeber 2019. Please help. My email to be reached is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thank you.

On WordPress.com, email addresses are set at the account/username level, and can only be changed by someone logged into the account from the account settings page:
https://wordpress.com/me/account/
There hasn’t been any email changes on the account you’re using to post here since you created this account in March 2019.
But it sounds like you’re referring to the admin user email on a stand-alone WordPress site. In that case, you’re not working with WordPress.com, but with the open source WordPress software made on WordPress.org.
You can find support for that version of WordPress at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ instead.
