Updating blog on 'outdated' browsers / alternatives for the Dashboard?

I wanted to update my blog today. After logging in I got the “Browsehappy” screen, stating:
“Unsupported Browser. Unfortunately this page cannot be used by your browser. You can either use the classic WordPress dashboard, or upgrade your browser.”
Clicking on Classic WordPress Dashboard returned to the same screen.

I logged in from an older version of Opera which worked – until now.
I tried to install the newest browsers (Firefox, Safari) but either got the same “Browsehappy” screen or a WordPress logo located in the middle of the screen which stayed there.

I wasn’t able to find any info of browsers that are supported by WordPress (that is, what are the minimum requirements).
Since I’m using WinXP, some of the newest browsers can’t be installed on my machine.

On the other hand, if there’s no way to update the WordPress blog from the Dashboard, is there an alternative option (such as a plugin, addon or software) that I can use to update my blog from XP?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Well, let me reframe the first question this way:

Can someone give me info on which versions of the following browsers does WordPress currently support? (Windows XP)
    – Google Chrome
    – Safari
    – Opera
    – Firefox

  • First off, can you tell me what happens when you try to go here:
