Updating email address – WP not sending confirmation email

    I am trying to change my email and display name in WordPress but it is not working. Under General Setting, Email, it says that ‘There is a pending change of the Admin Email …
    ‘ but no email is being sent. It does work through my actual WordPress account but I am not seeing on the changes on the WordPress dashboard. I am also trying to change my display name on the dashboard but no changes are happening. What am I doing wrong and help please!

    Hi there,

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. You’ve changed the email on your WordPress.com account, but that has no effect on the admin email address for any stand-alone WordPress sites you own that are not connected to WordPress.com in any way.
