  I have set up this site for a small group of mailartists who also meet using zoom. Can I upgrade the site as personal?
  We have a domain name already – can we use that name with the upgraded site?

  You can upgrade the site at any time from https://wordpress.com/plans

  We have two options for using a domain you already own:

  Domain Connection allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Both will require a paid plan, any paid plan.
