  If i upgrade to the $2.99 per month one then later want to upgrade to the $8 will i just have to pay the difference or will i have to pay an additional $99 which is what the $8 plan comes out to be? And is there any plans that i can pay per month?

  If you purchase a WordPress.com plan and later decide that you want a different plan, staff can usually help you out and give you credit for the time remaining on your initial plan purchase.
