upgrade later

  I have seen a reply that is possible to start with free plan and upgrade later. the question is if I upgrade can I change to using my own domain which in this case is the above without wordpress suffix?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  You can upgrade your WordPress.com site to a WordPress.com plan and use your own domain anytime. After you add your own domain and set it as the primary address, your WordPress.com site address will redirect to your custom domain. So, any visitors still going to the WordPress.com site address will be automatically redirected to your new custom domain.

  The same goes for any followers and email subscribers. The site remains the same, so they will continue to receive updates from your site.
