upgrade to allow domain name only

  We are looking to upgrade our blog mainly for the domain name. Is there anything besides the $100 option? We don’t need the other features.

  In addition, there are certain features we are trying to add to our blog, such as having recent posts scroll across the main photo box at the top of the blog. This feature appears to be a plugin, and therefore wouldn’t be available on wordrpess.com. Is that correct or is there a way to do it? If not, can I figure out how to move over to wordpress.org by reading the answers on this site?

  Plugins are not permitted, but there are some slideshow options in some themes.
