Upgrading from Free to Personal Plan

    I bought my domain name from WP.org when I cancelled within 30 day return policy. If I upgrade to Personal plan how does that affect my current WP.com blog?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I need to be more clear. I want to upgrade my current blog mobilemomtechrescue.wordpress.com to the personal plan. When I hit upgrade, asks what is my domain name? Do I change it here to mobilemomtechrescue.com? Then pay for the upgrade?

    I also want to start a second site and can use the free domain name with wordpress.com in the url.

    I bought my domain name from WP.org

    That is impossible, as WordPress.org is the website where the WordPress community gets together to work on the open source WordPress software. That site does not sell anything, and is not a domain provider.

    I want to upgrade my current blog mobilemomtechrescue.wordpress.com to the personal plan. When I hit upgrade, asks what is my domain name? Do I change it here to mobilemomtechrescue.com? Then pay for the upgrade?

    The domain name is whatever you want to use for your site. You can either enter a domain to register if you don’t own one already, or if you already own a domain we’ll give you the option to either transfer the domain to us or to connect it to your WordPress.com site.

    The domain, mobilemomtechrescue.com, is currently registered with Bluehost.com. If you are the owner of the domain with them, you need to use either the transfer or the domain mapping option to use that domain with your WordPress.com site.

    If you are not the owner of that domain with Bluehost, you will not be able to use it here.

    Do you mean the free address, mobilemomtechrescue.wordpress.com? You cannot use that address for another site, as the same address cannot be used on two sites at the same time.

    When you add a custom domain to your site the free WordPress.com address is not released to use for a different site. That free address is where your site lives on our servers, and will exist as long as the site exists. When you add a custom domain to your site, that domain is added on top of the free address, but the free address is still there and people can still reach the site via that address as well.

    If you want to start a second site, that site will get its own, unique free address. You can create a second site in your account by going to https://wordpress.com/start/site/
