Upgrading my blogsite

    I would like to upgrade my blogsite and keep all my current subscribers (transfer them to the new domain) AND maybe change the name of my blogsite AND carry advertisement that relates to the topic I’m writing about – travel, camping, hiking, etc. Is all this possible?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there, if you change the name of your site, you’ll still retain your subscribers. If you create a new site with a different name, I would be able to migrate those subscribers over to the new site.

    You can change your blog address by going to My Blogs, and clicking the Change Blog Address link that appears when you hover over the address you want to change:

    Note that you have the option to choose your user name to match the new blog address. If you choose this option, you will not be able to revert back to the original username, and it can affect profile URLs for other services such as Gravatar or IntenseDebate.

    Advertisements, including those from third-party advertising networks like Google AdSense, are not allowed on WordPress.com.

    I’ve seen YouTube videos that say Google AdSense ads CAN be used on WordPress blogs, so I’m confused. When did it change? I was thinking of upgrading to sayslife.com and I’ve also been toying with changing the name to something else altogether, but still using the upgrade to name.com. (or org. whatever it is). Can I use Google AdSense if I get my own host? But then will I still be able to keep all my subscribers?

    Nothing has changed. You are confusing wordpress.COM hosted sites with WordPress.ORG sites on paid hosting.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
