Upgrading Plans

  Hi there, I was just wondering what would happen to my current blog ( a wordpress.com blog) if upgrading to lets say the personal plan so that I could have my own domain. Would I lose any followers or content? ( Sorry if this is common knowledge, I’m kind of new to this whole blog thing)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Upgrading your plan will give you access to more features including a custom domain. None of the content you have added to your blog will disappear and upgrading won’t affect your followers — there is nothing they will need to do if they wish to continue following your blog.

  When you choose a custom domain, you can set it as your primary domain — this is the domain visitors will see their browser’s address bar.

  Visitors can get to your blog using any of the domains you added, but the address they see in their browser’s address bar will always be the primary domain. If your custom domain was ‘example.com’, visitors would see that address rather than ‘example.wordpress.com’.
