Upgrading to Premium or Business Plan?
-
I’m thinking of upgrading to the Business Plan to redesign our dated company website. We currently pay GoDaddy for our domain, hosting and SSL Certificate – which yearly comes to around $125.
Does the WordPress Business plan upgrade include the above items? I see on wordpress.com it mentioned ‘premium hosting, security and backups’ on this page:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/However on the WordPress pricing page it doesn’t really have a detailed breakdown of what is included in this monthly fee: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
$24.99 a month equates to around $299 a year so I’m wondering what the cost breakdown is here. Also, once the site has been designed and pushed live do I need to stay on this same plan?
Thank you for your help

Hi @starckap, all of our plans include hosting, a domain credit, and SSL.
The only trouble is that we do not have a way to transfer the domain here at this time, so you would need to keep the domain registered at GoDaddy for now, and you would map it here instead using these steps:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/All plans include support, and we maintain the software for you as well.
Re: switching plans after setup, our plans are billed on a yearly basis. Also, if you buy Business plan and build your site on a premium theme, you would need to buy a license for that theme before switching plans.
