  • Hi there,

It is not possible to upload plugins on our free sites, so the message that you are seeing is correct, you will need to upgrade to our Pro Plan in order to be able to use Elementor.

If cost is an issue, you also have the option to set up a self-hosted WordPress site, which are sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. This version of the WordPress platform is not managed (so you will be responsible for your own software updates, security scans, login protection, and backups) but does allow you to use plugins without the need for an additional upgrade.

If you are looking for a good web host for your self-hosted site, we recommend the following providers, who all offer easy-to-use wizards to help you get your first WordPress site set up and running:

    Hosting

That said, most major web hosting providers will work, so you can just ask if the one you are interested in supports WordPress.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
