Uploading theme

I uploaded a theme yesterday with no issues after I switched it to a .zip. Now I want to install a different theme and it won’t allow me. It says I’ve already got a theme and I can’t install another. I can find no alternative ways to upload a theme other than the one that has been failing. How do I install another theme?

It’s not expected that you wouldn’t be able to install a different theme because your site already has a theme. Can you ensure that the new theme you’re trying to install isn’t the same as the one that’s already installed?
If you’re trying to install a different theme and it won’t let you, please post on the WordPress.org community support forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums – folks there have more expertise with the WordPress.org software and they can help you with the next steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
