URGENT – WEBBSITE RENEWAL!

    I cannot renew my website – http://www.theoffsideline.com – as I don’t have the log-in details for the user who set it up. Can you please help ASAP?

    Hi there,

    Do you have contact information of the user who set up the domain? That will be the best in getting access to the subscription. You can have the user transfer the domain over to you if they no longer have a desire to own it.

    I set up the site a year ago using an email address linked to another domain which has now expired. The login password I noted down is not working, so as a short term solution I was logging in using a secondary username/password.

    But when I went to renew the subscription I was told that I must be the original subscriber.

    That domain has now been purchased by someone I don’t know so I can’t renew the password. Its very frustrating!

    I can provide evidence (recipes etc) of the initial purchase to prove i am who i say I am.

    I hope this makes sense?

    I think I am understanding –

    I looked up the account that is associated with theoffsideline.com and see that it was you who initially set up the upgrade under the account? Now you no longer own the email address associated with the account, correct?

    Did you purchase the upgrade initially?

    If so, you might want to look back in your records to see if you still have the transaction confirmation from the last time the domain theoffsideline.com was renewed at WordPress.com, back in (clipboard}.

    All our payments are processed by PayPal (even if you paid directly with a credit card).

    PayPal can provide you with this transaction ID, which we can then verify on our end. It’s a 17-digit number. You can reach them at:

    I have been in email contact with Christopher S at passwordhelp@wordpress.com

    And provided him with the evidence below [scroll down] to prove that it was me who initially purchased the upgrade. This seemed to suffice, and I then gave him this email address – (email visible only to moderators and staff) – to become the new primary email address for username Maisie2006.

    He has now gone quiet and I am left in limbo. This has gone on for three days now and is doing potentially irreparable damage to my business. I need it to be fixed or at least to know where I stand as soon as possible.
