Urgent: Why WP?

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been researching ways to update our company’s website, which currently features a simple html page with an online application form built in JavaScript.

Our CTO, who is not a web developer, is hesitant to adopt an out-of-the-box CMS like WordPress. Our existing website and internal IT platforms are all custom-built with a strong emphasis on security, and they are regularly maintained by an external IT company.

I need advice on how to convince the CTO to consider using a CMS. Are there any CMS options similar to WordPress but with stronger security features? Additionally, what are the pros and cons of continuing with a custom-built website versus transitioning to a CMS?

    Thanks for your help!

    Moses

If your site is only 1 simple html page, a CMS as wordpress.com or wordpress.org is a bit of an overshoot.

However if security is important, I wouldn’t hesitate and choose for the wordpress.com platform. If you want to use your custom domain, our basic Starter Plan has it all.

Regarding the contact(?) form, the wordpress.com platform offers the Form Block – https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/
