  My wordpress address is http://50.116.64.43/~coachjj8 but I want to change my actual site address to http://www.coachingpoints79.com which is the domain that I purchased. When I did that in the settings menu there was an internal server error whenever I tried to navigate around the site. How can I fix this? I don’t want my readers seeing the website as my actual wordpress address

  I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, your site is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which WordPress.com staff really can’t help with.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.
