  I’m building a website for my business (first time so please excuse my ignorance) and when I go through WordPress it includes ‘wordpress’ in the URL which I do not want, do I have to set up the domain through another website that allows me to create a domain name without ‘wordpress’ in it?

  Hi Dan,

  All sites created on WordPress.com get a free WordPress.com URL, but you can replace that with your own custom domain on any of our paid plans:

  Or alternatively you can buy a domain and hosting from another provider like Bluehost, and then build your site there using the open source version of WordPress. But either way there will be a cost involved to have a WordPress site with your own domain.
