URL change when I upgrade my plan

    I would like to upgrade my plan so that I can have a dedicated URL but all my material have the subdomain style URL: cobblehillclc.wordpress.com

    if I upgrade through you and if I client puts in the old URL: cobblehillclc.wordpress.com
    Will it go to my new website?

    ALSO
    I don’t want anything to change on the website, so when I transfer over, will it all look the same?

    PS – I loathe web design and am doing this for my wife, so simple is better.

    Hi there,

    If you add a custom domain your free domain will still exist, and all existing links using the free address will redirect to the custom domain automatically.

    Nothing else will change. Think of adding a domain as putting a new licence plate on your car. It’s just a different identifier for your site, but your site itself will stay exactly as it is.
